MAKE SURE TO LEAVE A DIAMOND IF YOU THINK THIS SHOULD WIN
This build is my entry into the "Behind the Picket Fence" PMC build contest.
This build took about 2 hours in total using a mixture of world edit (For the landscaping) and manual work (for the structures like the walls, house, stables.
I started with the landscaping by using the Brush commands Sphere and Smooth to create a naturalish terrain arround the exterior of the house before moving onto the framework
for the framework of this build i decided to stray a bit from the safety of oak logs and went for a more adventurous pick of Acacia.
After the frame was completed i simply filled in the gaps with quarts as the vibrant white contrasts nicely with the vivid orange and grey of the acacia.
I then moved onto the roof simply following the shape of the frame and topping it with some stone walls and cobblestone stair details.
Whilest this was a "dream house" contest, i believe that the term "dream house" is different for everyone, this is simply what would be a dream house for me, something tucked away in the country side with some of the charm of nature growing around it.
truth be told, the interior could definitely use some work, however considering this is my second build in over a year and that id never really done interior work before, i think i finished it quite nicely with a more open, modern feel on the inside in contrast to the strong eduardian stature of the exterior.

Yes.
Can I extend past the platform?
Yes,
but not to excess. For instance, if a tree is located inside the fenced
area, but its leaves extend slightly over the fence line, it's fine,
however a building that extends through the fence is not. The majority
of your build needs to be inside the picket fence.
Can I change or remove the fence?
You
are allowed to swap the fence blocks with some other type of block as
long as the dimensions stay the same and the purpose remains the same
(you can not have your build extend onto the fence line and say that
you're just replacing the fence blocks with your build).
You can also remove a small portion of the fence to create an opening to your build
if needed, but your build can not extend onto the space where the fence
was and the majority of the fence should remain intact.
well as it looks on the pictures his entry is breaking the last rule but that shouldnt be hard to change
