Features & Info
- Read about the history and lore of this famous location on this Tolkien Gateway article.
- This map is built on version 1.13 for the Java version of the game. As such, it can only be played on versions above that.
- The map includes some of the Ered Nimrais around the Deeping-coomb, alongside the Deeping Stream flowing out through the Deeping Wall. It also, of course, includes the Hornburg, the tower with the Horn of Helm Hammerhand atop it, the keep, and the Glittering Caves.
- The dimensions of the map are 649 x 436 blocks exactly.
- Planet Minecraft post.
Resource Pack
- This map was built with EQPack 3.0.
- While we can’t require you to view the build with this, we highly recommend you use the latest version of our Resource Pack with this build, which can be found here.

- This is our second Helm's Deep build, with the first released back in 2013. We'll try and update all our links to this one, but the old map will remain up on PMC so links don't die.

The reason why it's on 1.13 is we actually built it a while ago, and only just got round to release.
1. Lay in shapes using sphere brush, preferably with a -p tag so it mimics falling sand brushes.
2. Use Voxelsniper's `/b e` lift and `/b e melt` to make the spheres much less obvious and to get the overall shape you need. Slowly go down in brush size for the details.
3. Use some kind of smoothing on the mountains.
4. Use the smooth snow method to get the snow caps - here's a link more or less explaining how this works https://t.co/XBch87JoHK (By DecoratedMC)
5. Set materials for the rest of the mountain range - in this case, it was done mostly using the angle mask and #simplex pattern. A good place to go to learn about using certain Worldedit/FAWE commands is on this github page: https://github.com/boy0001/FastAsyncWorldedit/wiki/Commands#masks-edittop
