Lore
Imrathren Aras is a blissful city lying to the west of Belegaer, the great sea. Flanked by steep majestic mountains and covered in lush trees which are always bearing the distinctive warm colored leaves, Imrathren Aras might be the closest to paradise on earth one can get. Abstaining of any political or worldly statement, the people living in the valley live in tranquility. Therefore it isn't suprisingit's a popular final destination for many adventurers, that is, if they are lucky enough to find it.
Only the worthy will find it, either by skill or by invitation! As the peace and tranquility is so highly valued, the city is shrouded in great mysteries and myths to project it. Founded and governed by a wise council of elven, thriving on captivating tales of many adventurers, once one has set foot in this valley it's unlikelly one will ever want to leave!
Story behind the build
Many people have created "Elven style" builds, I (Lentebriesje) for one was unsatisfied not seeing builds more closelly resembling of Rivendell, the Lord of the Rings High elven town/city. So i set out recreating rivendell, to those who've attempted recreating rivendell according to the movies I probably don't have to explain why I failed, there must be atleast three(!) different versions of Rivendell based on the movies (including the heavelly CGI-ed Rivendell from the Hobbit movie). So i made it my own and name it "Imrathren Aras". In Tolkienian high elven, this should translate to rivervalley of the deer.
Hanging over the heart of the city is a rock outcrop with an uncanny resemblance of a deerhead with trees as antlers. Coincidence? Ofcourse not! It's a reference to saint hubertus and it's from before i learned of the irony that would make, this being an Elven city and all. As for the brightly colored tree leaves, they're a texture pack customization. this is again fitting to the LoTR Rivendell. This city is basically a combination of a city and a park, with an abundance of trees, small waterflows, etc. It creates an unique atmosphere quite unlike anything i've seen before.
We, Q.u.b.i.c. are proud of this build and the achievement (atleast in our eyes) of creating something true in the spirit of LoTR inspired High Elven style.
About the creators
"Q.u.b.i.c. creates things, cool things."
- Said nobody ever
New, fresh & exciting concepts is what we focus on. Tudor towns are dime a douzon, but what if... we add a meteor mid impact to the concept? Pieces of houses thrown in the air, a shockwave seemingly blurring the scenery. Now that's cool. That's how our builds start, with a crazy cool idea. We mold and shape such ideas into a tangiable form and put it in minecraft. But it doesn't end there, the members of Q.u.b.i.c. aren't one trick ponies! Renders, cinematics, redstone, command blocks, and more. We like to do it all to create the very best experience we can!
