This is the sinking of the H.M.H.S. Britannic.
Britannic was the sister of the R.M.S. Olympic and the famous R.M.S. Titanic.
She was used as a hospital ship during the beginning of the first world war. On November 21st at 8.12 a.m. she was hit by an underwater mine by the German submarine U73. The sinking caused the deaths of 30 people.
Captain Bartlett wanted to beach the ship, so he didn't stop to lower lifeboats. Because of the speed, even more water entered the ship.
The ship began to capsize fast and the three massive propellers were beginning to rise out of the water.
Although the ship was still moving, two lifeboats were lowered against the order of captain Barlett.
The two lifeboats drifted back into the still turning propellers of the Britannic, killing 30 people.
Ironically, everyone who died in the sinking of the Britannic died in a lifeboat. In the sinking of the Titanic however, everyone who died froze to death, because they weren't in a lifeboat..
