Hello, My name is Luew. I am a server hoster and a programmer. I have owned several servers and am working on a new one. It is going to be a RPG world with cities, guilds, and other things.
Server information:
Our world is 5000x5000 (with ocean) with custom trees, mountains, oasis and much more.
We have a 100 slot host to put the server on.
The world can be terraformed to make better builds if we need it.
This server is the biggest project I have started. There are going to be several cities plus small towns scattered around the island. There are also going to be different guilds/schools for the different classes plus a few hidden ones that only certain people will be allowed to join.
THE CITIES
The Elven City:
The elven city is going to be located in a big forest with a huge tree in the middle of the city. The town is going to be sunk in a kind of crater into the ground. The houses will be put in the walls and in trees. The elf council will be put inside the grand tree in the middle.
The Human City:
The humans will be living by the ocean in a port town. They will have easy access to the water by a big cave in the mountains/hills surrounding the town. The nobles part of the town plus the castle will be inside these hills and the rest of the town outside connected by tunnels that lead through the hills. That makes the town easily defendable and safer. The castle will be on an island in the middle of a lake and the noble houses on the shoreline.
The Dwarven City:
The Dwarf city will be put inside the biggest mountain in the world. There will be a gigantic gate leading in to the underground city where bridges connect the entire town. There will be a huge mineshaft with lots of ores and treasures. The main town will be inside the mountain range but a few regular houses will be outside. The mountain range is made in a circle with the city in the middle.
The Orc City:
The Orc city will be placed in the desert in a oasis. There are hill surrounding the oasis and there will be gates in each corner of the oasis to let people in and out. The city will be more like a fort instead. The fort will have great defenses since the orcs are the most aggressive and strongest race. The town will be built purely for defense.
The Guilds
The guilds are going to be like schools for the different classes where only the best of the classes are allowed to join. In the guilds you can then choose a continuation of your class and become even stronger.
Public Guilds
The Mage School:
The mage school will be on an island of the coast of the main island. It will be quite small but with a big school with big towers. It will look very magical. There will be different "wings" of the school where different types of magic are in each wing. The head of the school will be the Archmage and will be a master of all types.
The Warrior's Guild:
The warrior's guild will be for all melee classes. It will be quite close to the human city and be like a big barracks. It will have weapon racks, training halls, classrooms, and so on. The warrior's guild will be a big defensive fort with lots of towers and castle-like builds.
The School of Archery:
This school will be placed in a small forest with a clearing in the middle. It won't be very big because it will be more secretive. Archers are supposed to be more secretive and not very outgoing. There will be a main house and a training ground.
Secret Guilds
The Thief's Guild:
The thief's guild will be placed in the center of a very thick forest. They consist of bandits, pickpockets, and all kinds of bad people. The guild will be built as a abandoned town that they later found and took over. It will be very old and overgrown but the houses will still be intact. The thief's guild and the assassin's guild sometimes cooperate and that's why there should be guest houses or an inn.
The Assassin's Guild.
The assassins will live in a big fortlike house on an island off the coast of the Northern part of the island. It is covered in snow and is very hard to get to and even if you manage the chances are you will not be accepted. The assassin's guild are very picky about who they choose. The guild will have a entrance going through the main house which also functions as part of the wall surrounding the guild. There will be a courtyard with different shops and buildings. There will be a blacksmiths, a potion shop, a tailor (for leather armor) and some more small shops. There will be a room for the head of the Guild that has a few secret rooms attached for privacy. There will be lots of secret entrances and exits to the guild house for easy access for the assassins when they need a quick getaway.
