Before the "Yamato" was build, there were discusions, how the ship should look like. All of the designs were called "A-140" and this ship, especially known from the game World of Warships in tier 9 called "Izumo", was design A.
A-140A would have been even larger than the Yamato with a total lenght of 290 meters and a width of 38 meters!
The main armament is the same, consisting of three 46 cm trible-turrets, but is stationed complete on the bow.
The secondary artillery is also ( nearly ) the same, but the three 15,5 cm trible-turrets are all positioned at the stern.
If the japanese admirals, or who else had the decision, took the A-140A, this ship would be the Yamato we all know!
To make it even better looking, all lights turn off, when it's going
to be night, so the ship doesn't shine like a lighthouse! ;)
Share it, like it and subscribe, if you want to see more! :)
P.S.: Yes, the design was influenced by the british Nelson-class battleship.

Update #4 : by MC Warshipyards 08/29/2016 1:58:45 pmAug 29th, 2016
I added the "hull C"-variant from WoWs to the worldsave. For all "non-World-of-Warships-players": some minor changes to the secondary armament: replaced two 15.5-cm-triple-turrets with two 12.7-cm-twin-turrets per side.
Now you have both variants of this ship in the worldsave, but the shematic is still the first variant.
