The Agressive Reconnaissance-170 Starfighter or more simply the ARC-170 was a heavy starfighter used by the Galactic Republic Navy during the Clone Wars and saw limited use in the Imperial Navy after order 66 and later into the Imperial Era. Manufactured by Incom and Subpro, the ARC-170 was a menacing fighter to face in combat, equipped with 2 medium laser cannons, 2 aft laser cannons and a proton torpedo launcher, on top of having shields, life support and a hyperdrive, the ARC-170 was a vast improvement over the Clone Z-95 starfighter equipped with an Astromech slot for greater starfighter operation.

After the fall of the Republic and rise of the Empire the ARC-170 continued service in the new Imperial Navy however in a more limited capacity with the Empire favoring the V-wing and shifting naval doctrine.

The ARC-170s design would also go on to become the base for Incoms T65 X-wing which would see greater use during the Galactic Civil war 2 decades after the end of the Clone Wars. Even after the rise and fall of the Galactic Empire ARC-170s were still utilised to great effect by Jinata Security over 50 years after the end of the Clone Wars.
