🔸 About the Project


Imperial Capital《黄金之城》 recreates imperial era of Beijing during the Qing Dynasty, 1644–1912, focusing on the wider imperial capital beyond the Forbidden City.

The project brings together palaces, gardens, lakes, temples, city gates, and historic landscapes to create a broader vision of Imperial Beijing.



🏯 Forbidden City《紫禁城 / 故宫》
The political and ceremonial heart of the Qing Empire, featuring grand halls, courtyards, gates, residences, and palace grounds.



🌊 Zhongnanhai《中南海》
Imperial gardens and lakes west of the Forbidden City, with palaces, waterways, gardens, gates, and small islands.



🌿 Yuanmingyuan《圆明园》
The legendary Old Summer Palace, known for its gardens, lakes, palaces, and landscapes.



🌸 Yiheyuan《颐和园》
The Summer Palace, featuring Kunming Lake, Longevity Hill, imperial gardens, and historic structures.



⛰️ Jingshan《景山》
The imperial hill and gardens north of the Forbidden City, offering views over the palace complex.

💡 Creator’s Notes


Although WorldEdit assists with certain repetitive structures, the project is designed, built, detailed, and polished manually.



The build combines historical research, maps, architectural references, paintings, and photographs. Since Beijing changed throughout 1644–1912, this project represents a broader vision of Qing Dynasty Beijing rather than one specific year.



Some structures are creatively reconstructed where information is limited, while others closely follow surviving buildings and historical references.
