I haven't made many maps in a while because I've been busy with school work, but here is an Arma inspired map for you!

Details
- 4k x 4k.
- Just a single island.
- Deciduous and Pine trees.

the mountains aren't too bad, but I feel like the map as a whole is a bit monotonous... Give the next one a bit more variation?

I'm a sucker for variation, I'll probs try a multi-biome map next time, add in some desert and snowy biomes.

How do you even transition? I mean there has to be a point when it just turns from mountain to forest or forest to snow...

the trick to making it look good is to not have it at a fixed height, but not at all heights either. Sometimes rivers also work. Or, with the new worldpainter, area masks.

I personally use a chooser with a soft layout generator.

With this map I just picked a height and flooded it with sand.

I'll have to look into it. I usually just had a brush that wasn't solid and sprayed around the edges.
