Using DTM's data, I'm trying to recreate the whole Italy country and closest areas in scale 1:50.
The height exaggeration is 2.3.

First milestone! 1% of the project has finally been achieved!

The project will cover approximately this area, for exception of North Tunisia and Northeast Algery, which has been excluded from the project for lack of geographical data.

Features:
Landscape;
Urban areas: metropolis, cities, villages (every city with a population more than 30000 will have a "city centre" with road signs which will indicate the distances as the crow flies of the nearest cities);
Rivers: length > 40km or width > 50m;
Lakes: added their bathymetry;
Seas: The water level is set to 4. Added a bathymetry of coastlines with a maximum sea depth of 70 meters.
Natural and anthropogenic features: rocky fields, cliffs, beaches, dunes, quarries, airports fields,
Vegetation: Deciduous, mixed and evergreen forests (added some custom trees), moorlands, wetlands, grasslands, etc.
Snow and glaciers: these features are referred to the month of may (first days of may), using NASA satellite images.
Volcanoes: Etna, Vesuvius, Stromboli, with their calderas.
Biomes: An accurate rappresentation of real biomes.
Caverns;
Resources: Mineral resources under quarries.
