Enter the gnomes.

These small and unhurried creatures (about the size of your thumb) see the beauty in nature and life and appreciate it fully. Even if their idyllic towns and hamlets are peaceful, even more slow life is practiced at the secluded monastery of Janavits. Built on a small island in the middle of a duck pond, it is a heaven for anybody seeking to lower their heart rate.

Sitting there for centuries, filled with tradition, the monastery houses a few monks that dedicate their lives to serving the gnome god by maintaining his temple. The life on the island is simple. Days are spent on meditation, repairworks, doing art and fishing.

The monastery gets small income from guests coming to stay awhile on the isle. Not many that came leave the island without a thought of returning some day.<

I think this is one of the most beautiful builds I've done and it really makes me feel at ease when I just look at it.
