So this is officially my first custom world that I've ever made, if you like this or want to give me some advice please do. If you do like it though, give me a diamond or something yo!

Fix the plain-ness of the map and added two lakes, one for the swamp and one for the jungle biomes. Also made a river around the mushroom island biome.

Nice first try bro, but as some advice look at using some custom brushes as they help create a much more realistic feel and watchinig World Painter tutorials such as that of Lord Dakr's. Im unsure if you used custom objects (e.g. bo2's for trees) or if you used the normal default trees but if you didnt use custom trees then i highly reccomend you do, and if you already are i would suggest looking at lentebriesje custom tree repository and dont use minecraft's default trees AT ALL.

Check out my project - Realm Of Ragul - for an example of usage of all of these
