Introduction:
Have you ever wanted to make a jump&run without any CommandBlock-knowledge? This map keeps you covered. It is heavily inspired by a german server called "Timolia". It even has the Starcoin-System from my "Super Minecraft 64" Map! In this map, you have custom blocks like a block of slow-falling, of jump-boost and so on. Every block has a deadzone, where it doesn't work, even when you're still on it. In groups though, the blocks work 100% of the time and if the block is caged so you can't go off it too far, it will also work, so place the blocks wisely. There is also a checkpoint-system, that works for two players individually, though you have to group the players into a team with this command:/team join <blue/red> <PlayerName>
Though if you play this map with more than one person, the green wool-blocks are likely to bug around.Block-Functions:
Green Concrete: You run faster
Red Concrete: You will be set to the last checkpoint / you will die
Brown Concrete: You can't jump
Light Gray Concrete: Slow Falling
Purple Concrete: Slowness
Pink Concrete: Regeneration
White Concrete: Day
Black Concrete: Night
Green Wool: You can walk under it
Gold Pressure Plate: Goal-Block
Iron Pressure Plate: Checkpoint
Stone Pressure Plate: Parkour Start
Light Green Glass: Teleports you through the block
How the Starcoin-System works:
To actually get the system working, you can either just set oak pressure plates whereever you want, although they wont respawn with the "Starcoin-Generator". To get that working, you just teleport an armor stand to the wanted position with this command:/execute at @s run tp @e[name=star1] ~ ~ ~
For every other Starcoin, you do star2 - star15. if you wanted, to make more respawnable starcoins, you have to follow my instructions: Somewhere there is a light green glass with a sign that says : "CommandBlocks". You go onto the light green glass to find this:This chain of CommandBlocks is the Starcoin-Generator. Every Chain-CommandBlock and the orange one before is one Starcoin.
Just do CTRL+MiddleMouseClick on the last Chain-Command, then place it like all other Chain-CommandBlocks at the tip of the chain. Now you only have to change the [name=star15] to [name=star16] or whatever star you want to add. The last thing to do is actually summoning the ArmorStand named star16 or star17 or whatever. To do that, just write this into the chat:
/summon armor_stand 8 5 8 {CustomName:"\"star16\"", Marker:1, Invisible:1}
Finally you can set your minimum requirement of Starcoins to finish the map by going to the purple CommandBlock up top and change the value to a value like -1(= 0) or 14 (= 15) or any other. To actually get the Starcoingenerator working, you first need to delete every Starcoin on the map that has a StarcoinArmorStand on it., do it with the EveryDelete-Starcoin-CommandBlock, or type in chat:/execute at @e[type=armor_stand] run fill ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ air replace oak_pressure_plate
Finally you can pull the lever of the StarcoinGenerator.Making new blocks:
If you want to make new blocks without knowing any commands, you first have to type this:/give @s repeating_command_block
If you have finished you can place it and make it always active and leave it unconditional. If you now want to give a block a function, just search up the proper block name on the internet (for example white_wool), and then type this in the CommandBlock:/execute at @r run execute if block ~ ~-1 ~ <BlockName> run <your command (example: "effect give @s <EffectName> <seconds> <strength of effect> true")>
You can also change the "-1" to a "2" if you want to have the block only work, if the block is directly over you.Final Words:
If you need any more help from me, you can always text me and ask questions. I will try answering every question of this map and maybe also give advise on how to use command-blocks for new blocks with abilities.
