So, I went through it with more attention. I liked the general handling of the landscape very much, especially how the town hall is set on a hill. Another very well executed task is the bridge connection to the fields. But put a proper wall between market place and town hall and on the opposite hill, the exposed dirt looks quite ugly. If you manage to find a dungeon, it'd be a great application for mossy stone.

The clocktower's rooftop should either be pointed or the fences need another story; or put four pinnacles in the edges. As it is now, one cannot see the fences from near distances and that makes the tower quite clumsy.

I liked the house on the opposite of the river very much. I suppose you know my map, one of the things I always wanted was a river in my city, but since I began it in february, there's only a man-made one. Maybe I'll add a big channel connecting the two seas one day - but back to the topic. The brigdge could be a little bulkier since it looks way too fragile now when looking from the side. It is your main bridge right now, so make it look appropriate! Try to add a little detail, like pinnacles or iron bar balustrades. And a simple way to make it look stronger is to underline it with two rows of fences on the edges of the bottom side.

Furthermore you could support a more multifarious interior. Less chests, but more tables and chairs and bookshelves and so on.

I'd love to see this developing!

The landscape was very important to me as I am, as you said, familiar with your map (great job by the way!) and I have read the review in your update log. The thing that stuck with me most is that people seem to like it when you work with the landscape, so I've tried to do that as best as I could. And I agree with you on the dirt wall thing, that's fairly high on my list of things to do.

I'll try to include a better roof for the clocktower in my next update, it's taking a bit longer than expected due to those darn creepers! (and lava.) If you mean the house on the desert side, then I'm going to use that as a sort of hotel / halfway point between this village and one I'm planning on building after I'm happy with this one. Hopefully it will become a bit more like your kingdom-type map after a while, and I'll probably rename the viillage and use Kavine for the map as a whole.

I guess I was quite lucky with the river, but I would of liked a sea really, maybe we should swap ;) ! I might remove the land under the bridge and make the slope a little steeper so that I can 'reinforce' it, I might also add a sort of walk along the river.

The interiors probably won't be fixed for another couple of updates as I am adding a few things with this one. I've added another house (same design as the one next to the town hall), an automatic sugar cane farm (I need to sort out a few bugs with that) and a shrine to cake ;P (feel free to replace the cake with any other item/deity). I might even add a small sports stadium/theatre if it doesn't take to long.

Thanks again for the advice, it really helps :) .

Try another material for the roofs - Wooden roofs for stone buildings and vice versa, or even brick roofs. A flat roof like on top of the tower is also ok, but decorate it with pinnacles or fences. The latter look best when alternating with stone or other normal blocks. Iron bars make also good handrails. Or try a glass dome, but I'd recommend them only on bigger towers.

Careful with glass panes: The windows using them should at least be two blocks wide, since otherwise it'll look like there's no glass at all from most angles. On sides with one-block-wide windows use glass blocks instead.

And for the torches: Less is more. In order to illuminate your streets you can put as many as you want inside, but outside put them only where absolutely necessary.

Looking forward to see more!

O.O Wow, to get that much out of a minecraft project is just... Wow. :)

Thanks man, you should be hired by PMC as a professional commentator or

something :) Did you see the stone structure in the desert? That's going

to have a wooden roof defo and I'll look at the other buildings. Thanks

again :)
