This is a near 1:1 scale replica of the Khaju (Khajoo) Bridge in Iran. It is an excellent example of Persian architecture. The bridge also functions as a dam. In order to keep it a dam, I had to take some liberties with the backside. I've done my best to keep with the look and feel of the real world bridge.
To Do:
Foundation
Actual bridge
Thicken walls (90%)
Redstone Circuitry
Terraform the front
Terraform the back (90%)
End towers
Backside pond

>Time spent: about 20 hours so far

As an add on later. I am thinking about adding a hidden switch that releases lava instead of water.

Additional Notes

if you are looking for the bridge on the server, warp sandcastle then turn around

Very cool, though I can't help but wonder how it would look 2 or 3x its current size...

I agree with you. It'll look awesome if it was built on a bigger scale.
