Today I got another building from Danzig for you. It is the Langgasser Thor (Langgasse Gate), which was built in 1612-1614 by prussian-flamish architect Abraham van den Blocke. It is built in the style of Mannerism and replaced the old gothic gate house from the 13th Century. After almost being completely demolished during the war, it was rebuilt in 1957. Together with the Peinkammertor and the Hauptwache, it is the 3rd gathehouse in an ensemble of gates at Langgasse.
