This is a lava door that allows the user to walk through quickly without worrying about being burned or having to wait. The buttons and the pressure plates work separately. See my version 4.1 here http://www.planetminecraft.com/project/lava-door-v41-lastest/

Additional Notes

You can add a pulse limiter (also known as a mono-stable circuit I believe) on the green line before the RS-Nor latch to make sure you don't have to wait to enter. I will soon release version 4.1 that will include this.

Already done! :D There are 2 buttons on each side to clear the path for you to go through.
