HUGE UPDATE:
I have now created a temple in which the commandblocks are.
other than that i have doubled the capacity to 12 players, 6 on each team.
There are now two "demi-gods" added - the Lunar Knight and the Dawnguard(lol at Skyrim) they get a Strength buff + particle effects when their goddess is in control.
Also the Goddesses themselves have been added (as a bunch of particle effects) - meant for events and such.
+ a ton of tweaking from intensive testing, deathcount, nametag invisible to the other team
However - the "going higher than y=162 bug" is still present untill I figure out how to measure multiple players Y=coords at the same time...
I hope you guys enjoy!

General info:
So - I created a new gametype using commandblocks.
It is basically a battle between two factions. One must build underground and can only come out during the night - The Shades, while the others - The Flares, live above ground and cannot step outside during the night.
The commandblocks do the following:
Seperate into teams and keeps track of, if anybody steps into the sun/moonlight.
if a "Shade" steps into sunlight he is blinded and damaged as long as he is exposed.
if a "Flare" steps into the moonlight he is also blinded and damaged.
This is to see as a challenge an it does work in multiplayer. The Shades have the advantage of building underground, hiding and gathering materials, while the Flares have an easier task farming ect. they can raid each other, but only take what isn't in chests, e.g kill the livestock and take food, ores in furnaces ect.
the Flares are not allowed to build underground, only mine, and the Shades are not allowed to build overground - only necesseary things like man-holes and entrances connecting their grid of tunnels.
Each team provides difficulties, but I think they will even out pretty good.
I have my own set of rules for the server I am setting up for me and some friends, including gifts the the goddesses Hemera and Nyx - Day and Night, as well as rewards and so on, but feel free to do as you please.
The "Shades" part can also be used as the only one, if you feel that you want to try how it is to live like a vampire.
There is a slight catch to it through, in the end and the nether i suspect it will think you are "outside" so that might be a problem.
It is automated, but the setup requires someone to activate the commandblocks and get people on the right teams/points-values for it to work.
The entire map (with some more stuff) is now downloadable Here.
A minecraft world with the temple placed is now downloadable!.
Peace!

It requires some manual things and placing it into a world, but i guess i could do that for you and fix all the problems and stuff ;)
