Well, that ain't a church or gothic. Is something wrong with me? I... I'm not quite sure myself to be honest. As you can tell from my previous builds, I do enjoy large, intimidating buildings with a sense of Melancholy and Industrialism. Somehow, huge Wind Turbines in the middle of nowhere fit the theme perfectly, so I decided to build some of my own, especially since I haven't really seen them done in Minecraft.
This project took about twelve hours to finish. I used the Enercon E82 Wind Turbine as Inspiration, using WorldEdit for the blade design and rotation. The Forest was made with both WorldEdit and, for the first time, Axiom, featuring 9 different custom Pine Trees.
Each Turbine has a hub hight of 151 Blocks, each blade measures 70 Blocks in length, giving each rotor a total diameter of 149 Blocks for a maximum hight of 225 Blocks, dwarfing even the largest of trees surrounding it. For me, it was all about the view from ground level, looking up into the sky from the lonely path way, seeing each Turbine towering above the entire forest. My favorite kind of walk IRL.
I hope you enjoy this rather different project!
