Hello, and welcome to the MC Middle-Earth Project, as you can see we are making Middle-Earth from scratch using a correct height map and much inspiration, we are making Middle-Earth from scratch using many of the source drawings, plans and descriptions made by Tolkien himself. We do understand there is other projects like this such as the amazing MCME server, we do not aspire to be like them as we shall make the world based on our own interpretation of Tolkien's Middle-Earth with as little bias towards the server and the films. We are also going to be slowly working on a map of Beleriand during the 1st Age for all those Tolkienite's out there.

Alongside this post we are also uploading a heavily edited building series every Wednesday and Saturday which you can watch the first episode here:

If that interested you, you can also follow the series here:

Unfortunately we are making these maps on a private server, but if you would like to be a part of this and help out you are more than welcome to send us your own creations (buildings, house etc..) via linking me a schematic or world download link, along with your name so we can give you the correct credit

When enough is complete, the map will be available to download

Hey i would just like to say *not being rude in anyway* if your going to work on a project this big, at least do a good build, not a house you make in 5 minutes, for me personally i build medieval all the time, and even my small houses take 40 minutes to an hour, because i put time detail and effort, i want to see this project bloom with detail, not something someone just put together to get it finished. go on the forums and find some builders, dont do a 2 man build, those dont work so well. believe me i tryed. you will lose interest half way and do a half arse job. Sorry if i sound rude i just hate seeing massive projects that have a good idea that turn to poop.

Trust me we aren't spending 5 minutes on our buildings, it took us around 4+ hours to make Bag End, and we still go back to it to add things. All together we have put in around 150-200 hours into it and the shire is starting to look close to complete

They are extremely detailed, yet on the interior I'm unsure on what I'm looking at; but with the detail of Bag End we are sticking 100% true with what Tolkien has drawn and described, for example, he has drawn 9 clothes pegs for hanging on the entrance corner, so we have put them in. Yet for the most of the interior he has left it open for interpretation.
