If you know anything about noteblocks, you'll know that setting up a song is not easy. You have to pick your instrument, lay down the instrument blocks, carefully place repeaters for timing and delay, and tune every. single. noteblock. Sure, you could use Noteblock Studio, but it's only available on Windows machines, and might be too complicated for some. Surely there must be a better way. This is MCComposer.
MCComposer is a fully functional music composer program/music tracker in Minecraft. Sure, it's not completely tedium free, but it's probably the most user friendly way to make Minecraft music in Minecraft. It Features:
-Space for up to 58 minutes of Minecraft noteblock music
-Up to 8 notes can be played at once
-All five instruments of regular noteblocks available, plus the unused "pling" sound, a music box sound, an 8-bit sound, a bag of sound effects, and the ability to import a custom sound (technical knowledge required to import custom sound)
-Sounds have been extended; play notes outside the usual two octaves!
-Notes are played at 10hz, which is 1 note per redstone tick (it's as if you had a line of noteblocks with 1 tick repeaters running through them).
-Rests delete notes and represent 1 redstone tick sections of silence
-Support for loops, so melodies can be played over and over without being 58 minutes long
-Support for auto stopping, so the melody won't loop over and over
-Ability to move back and forth to edit different parts of the tape
-Entire tape can be reset at any time
A detailed guide is available within the world.
The possibilities are endless (or rather they are so huge that the human brain cannot comprehend their hugeness)!
Let me know what you make with this! Also, if you enjoyed, feel free to give a diamond. Links are where they usually are.
Note that MCComposer now requires a resourcepack. It comes with the world, but is also available as a standalone download here.
P.S. If you liked this, check out the Musicians' Kit, an MCEdit Schematic that gives you everything you need to make great regular noteblock music.
Legacy Downloads: 1.8,1.11

Update 3:0 : by elyisgreat 01/08/2017 1:01:54 amJan 8th, 2017
-Updated for 1.11
-Fixed a bug where the scoreboard signs wouldn't work
-This was Mojang's fault, not mine. Unfortunately, it did require modification due to the changes in Mojang's implementation of scoreboard signs.
-Therefore there is no legacy version for 1.9 and 1.10, since it never really worked properly in those versions.

In 1.9 and 1.10, scoreboard signs were broken, so this project never really worked. In 1.11 they work again, however they don't auto-update, meaning I've had to make changes so the signs would update accordingly.
And yeah, the 1.11 conversion is pretty long.
