How to install Minecraft Maps on Java Edition

Sir Fisticuffs I
Lvl 7 • Apprentice Architect

A medieval blacksmith's cottage complete with forge, anvil, smelter, bellows, a grindwheel, and a workbench. The cottage itself is a medieval style timber frame building complete with a living room with a couch and table, kitchen with everything you would need to cook a meal, a bedroom for the blacksmith, and an attic for storage. All fires in the build can be lit without any worry of them burning anything down. Feel free to use this build in any servers or adventure maps but please give credit. Feel free to leave any comments as constructive criticism is always welcome and leave a diamond if you like it.

A few tips that you NEED to use on this and other builds you have planned.Ã
~Don't put two pillars of logs adjacent to each other, it makes the build look plain and boring.
~Use more materials than just logs and stained clay/wool.
~Add overhangs to your roof, it makes the whole build look more ascetically pleasing.Ã
~If you have a second floor, add an overhang to one of the walls. It gives the build so much more appeal and makes it a lot more interesting.
~Don't give it a row of logs every 2 blocks, only add a row where there is a new floor.Ã

Thanks! I'll be sure to use these. Oh and by the way, I only used the wood framing and the walling because I wanted it to be semi-realistic and look like some of the medieval style houses that I've seen online and in real life. Once again thanks. I'm glad to see people giving constructive criticism. This helped me a lot.

I know medieval style houses are mainly wood as I live in a town in England that was built in medieval times =P.

It's very... cramped to say the least haha. Lots of small alleys but a general nice feel to it, to be honest it feels very disconnected from everything that troubles this country.
