This is my very first project and a very large one at that.

This is currently a very big work in progress and is going to be a Minecraft Server. We have developed a mod pack just for this server that is based on Medieval times and has Siege equipment(ancient warfare mod), Rpg inventory, and possibly RPGitems plugin just to add some fun items. This will include most cities built in middle earth and may be up for download in the future.

Also if you would like to know the map I believe is 100th scale which is still a wopping 20,000 by 20,000 minecraft map because it would be 2 million block if we made it full size. The cities we will keep as close to full size as we can and just shorten the distance between cities.

For those that want a download I don't know how long it will be because we recently did our first World Export and it is a massive 6.11 GB world so finding somewhere to host the file is going to be difficult.

Here is a little something I put together so you can see its in game epicness.

can't wait for the completed map. If you need somewhere to host the download try dropbox i use it and it is very easy to get lots of extra storage space. If that does work, please release a download for the part complete version.

i am a knowledgeable player in minecraft and have many ideas in my head but am not one to build much but can help with get pictures from my head into minecraft because if i see it and put it in to action i can probably make it but if you want ideas just send me a message and this is a pretty good map so diamond for you

what program did u use to get the map 20,000 - 20,000 as i am going to make 1:1 scale map (insane i know) but i have had a lot of interest on my stream about it Twitch.tv/adam1768 (sorry for advertise) if u you pop in the stream and let me know would much like to know thanks

I've been playing Minecraft since Beta and there hasn't been any decent middle earth maps. But I think yours when complete has potential. I also have good knowledge of Lotr seeing how I've watched the movies countless times just to observe the landscape. I have also looked closely at the maps in the books because they give you zoomed in versions of each section. Please allow me to help you, I can build and stuff but can't mod. I have a friend who may be able to create a texture pack to go with it.

Out of curiosity, are there, or will there be lots of tunnels within the misty mountains?
I'm sure I could make a Gollum skin and find someone willing to role-play, should this become an RPG.

Yeah we are looking for committed people to help with stuff and yes this Map will be a RP Minecraft server with the modpack I made to go with it. Also the server will be Factions and The Goblin Race along with Orc Race will be able be able to build inside the Misty Mountains and its Caverns.
