This is a work in progress map for Minecraft ! It's not 100% finished. I will update it along the way when each waypoints are finished. You're welcome to help if you want, send me a message.
MIDDLE EARTH Map :
Some informations about the map at the current stage :
- 29.7 billions blocks
- 10.000 x 10.000 blocks map size (will be probably upscaled later)
- from 30 to 255 blocks in altitude (will probably change this after 1.17)
- large biomes
- a good amount of ressources everywhere
- lot of mobs
- lot of big caves and chiasms
- Mt. Doom volcano
- made with WorldPainter and in game for the others parts
So i know there is already a good Middle-Earth map and a server too, but i wanted to make my own with my ideas and vision (and i can't go on the MCME server too as i don't have the official game..). I made it all by myself. And will keep going on making all the parts of the tolkien world :). From a cartographic point of view the map is very accurate as i did excatly the same as the one drawn by Tolkien himself. Topographically, the map need to be more precise on some parts. For now it's the first version. I will update it along the way.
Feel free to let me know how i can improve it, if you have suggestions etc or if you just want to leave a comment :)
For now the map is in CREATIVE mode if some of you want to work on it let me know i will make a server. The purpose is to have it in SURVIVAL/ADVENTURE when fully finished and go for an adventure ! :)

I downloaded your world and it looks good so far, However, there are a few things I would like to point out.
First of all, I see that you are intending to upscale your map to make it larger than a 10k by 10k map. 10k by 10k blocks is large enough(for your needs I assume), so If you are the sole world-painter user on this project I recommend keeping it at that size and focus on the detail. I used to want to make maps that were incredibly massive and it was way too much to try and detail the entire thing. Focus on the detail, not the size.
I also recommend checking out Lord Dakr's world painter tutorials on youtube, I've learned so much from them.
