A Journey through time portrayed by War and Military.
My idea, for this contest, was to create a map where various exhibits of all times in common with military of would meet together. As such, it is normal to see Greek and Macedonian Phalanx in the same map with German WW1 soldier.
I will now go in detail about every important object and organic present in the map.
Organics:
German World War 1 soldier
This organic is mainly recognized by it's pointy helmet, used by German and Austro-Hungarian soldiers. He is holding a whistle in his left hand, and a pistol in his right one.
Modern Age crossbowman
Having a French Crossbow helmet, this crossbowman is not aiming yet, although he has loaded a bolt in the crossbow.
Medieval Knight
Mounted on a horse, this Christian knight is holding a lance galloping straight at an American Vietnam war soldier. His armored horse has a cross, symbol of Christianism, on it's chest's piece of armour.
American soldier of the War of Vietnam
Often represented with a poker card attached on the helmet, this American soldier is themed to the war of Vietnam. His shirt is short, therefore the majority of his hands are exposed, because of high temperatures in Vietnam. He is firing at a medieval knight using an common American automatic gun of those times.
Futuristic Alien
This unknown creature has been deployed on a platform from its battle spaceship. The alien is holding a spear.
Greek and Macedonian Hoplites
Grouped in a phalanx, these hoplites hold long spears and shields. Their phrygian helmets are symbolizing liberty and freedom, but they also protect the warriors heads.
Iroquois warriors
Sitting in their canoe, the 2 native Americans can't be surprised by an enemy. One of them is swinging his tomahawk. His comrade who is behind him is in charge of making the canoe move, as he's holding a paddle.
Objects & other
Trench
Trench warfare existed ever since prehistoric period and still exists today. Inside these trenches, there is a German World War 1 soldier, a medieval crossbowman and an American Vietnam War soldier.
Barbed Wire and Anti-Tank Hedgehog
I built them in front of the trench. The barbed wire is dangerous for foot troops and the hedgehogs prevent vehicles such as tanks to pass.
The Platform of signs
The platform, being circle shaped has some outstanding triangles with a same little Japanese war symbol called “Tomoe”, a military symbol. In the center of it, I represented Yin and Yang.
GE M134 minigun
It's a machine gun with 6 barrels. It could be carried and used on foot but it also could be a vehicle machine support, such as helicopters.
Roman Catapult
Coming from ancient Rome, this catapult was a real monster during the first 1500 years
Closing:
There
is a white flag with the symbol of peace surrounded by barbed wire and
some pointy sticks. It is in the middle of the map, neutral and at the
same time, everyone, at some point, is seeking for it.
Here is a quote that I find useful to understand my map:
“War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is a strength.”
- George Orwell
Really special thanks to Malithaa for 2 of the renders.
Another great thanks to Blovien for the second render.
Enourmous thanks to Enoshade for the thumbnail.
Additional info:
It took me about 50 hours to build this, during 6 weeks.
I used World Edit, Voxel Sniper, GoBrush and of course my kin to raise that map.
I may one or even two more renders soon, but I am unsure yet.

I'm not a too big fan of mlitary related projects. But this one hits the topic of the contest perfectly, is original and ivery well executed. And as a sidenote after all the criizism below: I absolutely like your presemtation. It is different, it is educational and it is entertaining.
