This is my station (obviously). I am quite pleased with it though it could be better. I didn't decorate it for lack of decent pictures in game except for the two already there. I didn't put a roof on the station simply because I didn't want to. The outside is sadly lacking in aesthetic appeal, probably because I designed it more for underground than above. Feel free to redecorate to your heart's content for where ever you'd like to put it.

There are four destinations (which don't actually go anywhere yet since this is only a test world). The maintenance area is hidden discreetly behind the giant castle picture and then down the ladder. I wanted to use a hidden piston door to get to it but it turned out to be too much of a hassle to get it working correctly so I decided (again, obviously) to go with the picture entrance. I think that is one of my favorite parts of the whole thing.

As this is a test world, I used the TooManyItems mod just so I could get a feel for how I wanted to build it in my SSP world. No other mods were used, nor were any mobs harmed in the making of this station.

This station comes complete with empty cart detection, indicator light, and it is fully automatic (as you will see). If you call the cart and then decide not to go anywhere, the piston will push the cart and it will go back to the holding area. There is only one cart in the whole place because I am not fond of the pez dispensers and because this is primarily for a SSP world (I figure who needs more than one cart if you're the only "human" going to use the station?). I am working on a SMP station similar in design to this one but it is far from complete.

All of the piston mechanics were inspired (well, more like copied but at least I'm giving him credit) by Necramar (no idea if he actually came up with it but I got the ideas from him so there you are) on YouTube. The destination selection stuff was also inspired (again, copied) from paj2323 on the forums (website follows, hopefully that will show up, if not let me know and I'll give you a link. There's a few good ideas in that forum if you want a different button setup than the one I have).
