This is the project that I have been working on lately. It is a 48 character word processor that is very compact. It is only 27 blocks long behind the screen. There is about a 20 tick delay between entering in characters. It would be possible to enter them in every 10 ticks but the lag caused by all the signals passing through at once messes up the machine. It is infinitely expandable by making a few tweaks. Every extra row adds 8 ticks of delay and every extra column adds 2 ticks of delay.

Space key

Character Tracker (Blinking indicator light on active character)
Only 27 blocks long behind the screen
48 character slots
Reset button

Power button

The screen on this might be bigger and thinner (not entirely sure) but his has a lot more functions.

dude how do you make the computer know when to move onto the next typing space like 
A > D and have the D not in the A space im making a computer and i have know idea how to make it type properly please someone reply to this im stuck :/

This uses a modified and smaller version of a shift register which is built into eash display to control AND gates which either let signals into the display or do not. Im sure you can find many tutorials about them on youtube.

ok i got a shift register built how do i set it up to the display?

Attach each output of the shift register to a different display cell AND gate, the other input for the AND gate will be the character inputs.
