Minecraft: DOTA
is a PvP map that requires
no client mods.
Inspired by the popular Defense of the Ancients, DOTA 2 and Leagues of Legends. It plays around the same rules, with some twists!

Don't forget to diamond it up if you like this project! :)


6 to 10(recommended) players map

We don't have any official dedicated servers yet, if you want to run servers for this map, just tell people in the comments - However, to restart the game, you need to install a fresh version!

(Working on a resetable version)


IMPORTANT

Set server view distance to 15

Make sure you read the thread! <--- Server plugin is in this thread


When everyone understands the mechanics and server is stable, the game is one of the most fun we ever had, hopefully you guys will have a great time too :)

With some help from my server mates from excalicube.net, i have completly rebuild all the redstone systems, and made the game easy to reset.
its now fully playable with less less lag (thx to the power of command blocks). Kilometers of redstone have been removed, hundreds of repeater as well :)
We had our first test game two night ago and despiste some small bugs at the start of the game, it was successfull.
Bugs have been solved quickly and we are planning a new test next week on our server.


I dont want to make the map available because i'm not the original author of the map, may be i could ask him if i see any interest here from the players.

Well done.
I'm also a fan of Dota and I'm making a mod that adds items from Dota 2. It's quite a big task honestly, and the work is still in progress, but the mod is already playable. I hope you guys like it.

Although tree removal was programmed based on natural Minecraft trees, so it doesn't work well with this particular map: if you use Tango, you will cut down half the map :D
