Panem Project

     Disasters of unprecedented horror shook the land once known as North America.
The ocean swallowed up much of the land, and wars raged on for what little remained.

     But out of the ashes rose our great nation, Panem.  It consisted of a glorious capitol ringed by 13 districts,
each supplying the Capitol with food and wealth. But then came the dark days. The districts tried to bite
the hand that loved and fed them.

     But, the first twelve districts were beaten, and the thirteenth destroyed.
And so it was decreed in the Treaty of Treason that each district would offer up one male and one female tribute 
between twelve and eighteen to fight to the death in an annual competition known as the hunger games.
