This is going to be apart of my adventure map "When We Left Earth" this is going to be a small part of the adventure that we will take around our solar system. When this small part of the adventure map is finished I will post it with out all the adventure and exploration parts of the map. This will just be a landscaping of the area which the rover landed at. The adventure map I am making though will come with this, adventure challenges and the very rocket that lifted the rover into space that launched from Florida.

For this who don't know there was a rover that successfully landed on mars taking it's first 2 pictures just minutes after landing, on August 5, 2012. Which just so happens to be my birthday. [Maybe the exact time I was born ;) ]
Right now the rover is done, and I still have a large proportion of the area from which it landed to still build. It will come with mountains, craters and the little doo dads and gizmoozs which made the successful landing happen. (Supersonic Parachute, SkyCrane, Heat Shield, Capsule) Now along with this 2 other space craft we're above in orbit where the rover landed taking in data and pictures from the rover and itself, sending them back to earth. These will also be included along with this project.
Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) is a robotic space probe mission to Mars launched by NASA on November 26, 2011, which successfully landedCuriosity, a Mars rover, in Gale Crater on August 6, 2012 at 05:14:39 UTC.[1][3][10][11] The Curiosity rover's objectives include determining Mars'shabitability, studying its climate and exogeology, and collecting data for future human missions.[12] The rover carries a variety of scientific instruments designed by an international team.
Curiosity is about twice as long and five times as massive as the Spirit and Opportunity Mars exploration rovers,[13] and carries over ten times the mass of scientific instruments.[14] It successfully carried out a more accurate landing than previous rovers, within a landing ellipse of 7 by 20 km (4.3 by 12 mi),[15] in the Aeolis Palus region of Gale Crater. This location is near the mountain Aeolis Mons (a.k.a. "Mount Sharp").[16][17] It is designed to explore for at least 687 Earth days (1 Martian year) over a range of 5 by 20 km (3.1 by 12 mi).[18]
The Mars Science Laboratory mission is part of NASA's Mars Exploration Program, a long-term effort for the robotic exploration of Mars, and the project is managed by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory of California Institute of Technology. When MSL was launched, the program's director was Doug McCuistion of NASA's Planetary Science Division.[19] The total cost of the MSL project is about US$2.5 billion.[20]
Don't worry I am going to update a lot in the next couple days as more stuff comes in like new pictures and updates from NASA.

Additional Notes
Will be comprised of my own custom texture pack and mostly constructed with the voxel sniper mod.Don't worry I am going to update a lot in the next couple days as more stuff comes in like new pictures and updates from NASA.
