This project is currently functional but I have plans to continue construction of both the aesthetic and mechanical elements in further updates. The structure is an octagonal Colosseum built of sandstone. It is being designed for player vs player, player vs enemy, tournaments, etc.
Mob Arena 0.4
This version has been designed as a test, and is only for singleplayer use. Further updates will bring in multiplayer functionality.

While the lever is flipped up, the monster will continuously spawn. It will spawn somewhere between 3-5 monsters per second. I advise flipping it, waiting, and then flipping it off before entering the arena. It will spawn them much faster than you can kill them! Armored zombies will spawn once per button press.
Equipment
Choose an armor set
Diamond, Gold, Iron, Chainmail, Leather
Add a bow and arrows
Just press any of the buttons, and you will receive a kit! If you press multiple buttons, you will receive multiple kits.
Special Commands
Clear Inventory
Make Weather Clear
Day/Night lever
The clear inventory button (labeled with cauldrons) will delete everything in your inventory. You can always get more items from the kit buttons.
If it is raining, you can press the button with light blue wool to make the weather clear.
The lever will toggle day and night time. While the lever is up, pointing towards the glow stone, the time will always day. While the lever is down, pointing towards the obsidian, the time will always be night.
Additional Notes
I am uploading this project early in development so that you can provide feedback and give suggestions for what features you want to see next. It utilizes command blocks and gamerules and is completely vanilla! Please comment here if you have any ideas or criticisms. Mob Arena 0.4
- added button to spawn fully armored skeletons'
- made command block and redstone tweaks to the gate teleportation system
- before, if a mob was in front of the gate it would teleport the nearest player out of the arena
- now, the command block will only teleport the player if he/she is standing on the pressure plate
The new skeletons move quickly - it is very difficult to get out of their range, and they are very accurate. To top this off, they wear iron armor!
