2/15/2012 - Please excuse the fail and low-skill level this house has, I wasn't really good using my imagination at the time I started playing Minecraft, haha.

Ideas have been used for reference since I have only basic knowledge regarding to the makings of a Monster Destroyer (Mob Tower). Partial credit is given to a tutorial on Youtube for helping with the platforms, water currents and dimensions for the base and platform:

Anyways, compared to my massive Mob Tower version 1, this is for people who would like to conserve space for their creativity and/or for other things.

How this Mob Destroyer works: When you align the grass with your world's grass, monsters underneath will spawn on any of the four platforms. As the monsters walk and push around, they will get caught in a current of water with multiple signs (for Spiders to not climb out when trapped) and will be pushed in the middle. In the middle will also be a bunch of signs and lots of water used to allow the monsters float up to the top of the Mob Destroyer, then yet again getting caught in another current of water; then getting annihilated in a lava trap. When killed by the lava, items will not fall in and get destroyed. They will fall through the hole down at the bottom into the Loot Chute.

This contraption can pick up to about literally 3,000 (3K) items per hour if placed in the ground correctly! The spawn room and platforms are covered in complete darkness to allow a large number of monsters to spawn, so don't get tricked by the large windows; that is just there to view the inside and for design.

In order to use this schematic, you MUST install a program called MCEdit. Click here to download MCEdit (Minecraft Forums)

It won't appear the first time when you first import it into MCEdit. You have to do it the second time, and it will preview what the schematic should look like when you place it in your world.
