This build is released 'as-is'. No NASA (or other Space agency) hardware exists on it. It is supplied as a blank canvas that other people can build on.
The buildable area covers 40.000 blocks (aprox 200 x 200 blocks). The boundry 'slopes' add another +/- 10.000 blocks to this area. (These slopes are hollow, so mining into them isn't an option)
It is simply a 1 block deep 'skin' of stone blocks on top of pre-existing terrain. Simple but effective.

Update #2 : by Vintagegamer069 09/16/2019 11:21:46 amSeptember 16, 2019 @ 3:21 pm UTC
All vertical faces have been 'softened' with cobblestone slabs and stairs to give the build a less 'blocky' feel.
Build has been set to permanent night.
Clouds have been disabled (no clouds on the Moon 😆)
The minecraft moon texture has been replaced with an image of the Earth as this is what was visible from the REAL Moon.
Command blocks have been added to add jump boost and slow falling effects to simulate low gravity. The effects can be removed with another command block.

Have something to say?
Though, thinking about it, it wouldn't matter to me if it was possible......
Knowing that I created this by hand, without mods, is what is satisfying to me. If I'd have used a mod, it'd feel like I'd cheated somehow....
