The switches are for controlling different features. One puts it in continuos loop. The other circuit keeps it from playing several times at the same time (trust me that can get annoying). The door trigger that you step on after you enter the front entrance is wired to the song track (so that it plays as you enter the bar area). To re-trigger just hit the door plate again or put it in continous mode. Otherwise if you want it on an actual switch circuit you could throw one in and run some redstone wire down to the basement, but I'd probably disable the door plate switch. Go ahead and play around with it and see if you can come up with a set-up you like. If it gets messed up then you can just throw in a clean copy with MCEdit again. Have fun.
