So this is my first minecraft render, make sure to full screen as the thumbnail makes it look too bright.

This way made in world painter, then I used voxel sniper to make it look ever better. Then I took the world save into 3ds max and did i quick render on it.

Well this landscape including the render maybe 2 hours, but this is part of a much bigger map that took several hours to make.
