Hello minecrafters,
Today I want to share my latest creation with you, the Tower, designed for mass-server events.
Its main-function is to shoot a player or a group of players in more horizontal or vertical dimension.
( Tested on my slow (HD3000, 4gb ram) machine you can fly with level 12/20 6700 blocks high, or 1500 blocks far. It literally shoots you half over the map . One level is the smallest amount you can drop/spawn/ shoot, and contains of 52 dispensers.The Tower has 28 levels, preloaded: 20 for Tnt, 7 for creatures, 1 for goodies.
The only problem (in sp) is that mostly you fly faster than the chunks are loaded which causes your avatar to stop in mid air. At multyplayer events with enough players loading chunks my guesses are about 4000 far and 13000 high. For more horizontal fly, go in front of the water, for vertical fly behind it.
You have only to deal with fall-damage, because of the water there should be no explosive damage inside the Tower.
Ah, and you don't have to worry about reloading the tnt-section, you can fire more than 530 times (on max settings).
At higher intensity levels it behaves as an tnt-cannon as well + you can adjust the range
With every higher level the chance and the range raises that tnt is destructing things in front of the Tower, would guess, up to 300 blocks. Normally the timers in the Tower are so adjusted that Tnt explodes simuntaneously, but when you want to use it more like a tnt-cannon you could play with the delay. Never rapidfire tnt because often this can destroy the machine.
And then, you can use it to spawn armies of creatures.
(I'm not sure if the entitys fly or die at spawn point when combined with tnt) but anyway, you can spawn with some clicks thousands of evil creatures. There is also an level which contains "goodies" like cookies, iron or gold bars,...
In the case you encounter unwanted Intruders in front of the doors or in the glass-area you can lock all doors and kill them with the panic button ( maybe some handy feature for admins )
One warning: this machine is enormous resource-intensive and tends to crash minecraft.
You can use it for your server and even modify/enhance/ add more levels.
It would be nice If you report your highscore in vertical or horizontal dimension
