This Project is the result with me experimenting with creating patterns out of a 3d flower of life in minecraft.
It arose out of the question of how to create organic looking floor patterns without actually needing to do so

Howto:
So
Create a 2d "flower of life" in minecraft
Use Worldedit to create the cycles
Why the flower of life? it is the easyest thing you can create out of circles
Then do the exact same thing again, but instead of using hcyl use hsphere -
so you create a 3d version of this flower of life.
Now, depending on which layer you spice through, you get a different intricate geometric pattern.
Once you selected one of your choosing, copy and paste this pattern with a horizontal offset at certain points of your choosing into itself
One option is to not let the pattern overlap (here this is possible because of its a hexagon
The thing i did in the titleimage is to actually not slice through one layer of this 3d flower of life, but maybe throught a layer of 5 blocks and
then use this as basis to create a multilayered glass floor out of it
Btw The images in Step 4 show the same structure - but from different sides
The titleimage then recombines the structure shown in step 4, and readjusts the color a bit more
By this approach you can genereate an infinite number of floor patterns,
Experiment using something else as the flower of life as basis, or stacking things different
Best regards
V
