My MYST

MYST has always been one of my favorite computer games. The best qualities of it was the landscape and the story behind it. Reciently, I played Mystcraft (look it up, it's an awesome adventure map) and got inspired to make this.

This is NOT an adventure map, or any sort of story/ puzzle/ whatever map. This is simply an open world that I made using WorldPainter. It is very MYST like though.

Picture this: You walk into a library on D'ni, and find an open book. No title, no note next to it, nothing. Curious, you touch the picture and link to this unnamed island. With no way to link back, you must set up a residence here and explore the land...

Additional Notes

This is simply an exploration map, like a basic minecraft world. If you want to though, I thought up a few achievements you can go for:

1) Thanks, but no thanks (Do not use the items in the chest next to spawn)
2) Home sweet home (Build a house the way you would expect in the MYST universe. ie; built into the natural landscape)
3) Setting sail (build a boat and sail around to the different nearby islands)
4) The top of the world (Climb to the highest point on the map, using only jumping and ladders. Highest point is Y= 173.6)
5) I don't want your charity! (throw all items in the chest at spawn into the obsidian volcano)
6) Linking everywhere (Use the nether to link from place to place on the map)
7) Where no one has gone before (sail off the edge of the map. It doesn't end there, but there's no way to get back to the islands if you do)
