This project initally began when I fiddled with some rough patterns on the floor around the nether portal, I make it into a rough rectangle area and refined the pattern sides. I added the cobblestone pillar areas aside from the two cobblestone wall wide pillars. As Bdouble0, Keralis and many others say, leaves make a great addition.
I added the standard oak leaves and also placed vines on the walls, I've added plenty of greenery and initially changed the spruce half slabs to snow blocks to add some contrast. Overall this project isn't completed yet. I'll keep this post updated for any major changes to the piece. The resourcepack used is called Dokucraft High, one of my favourite resourcepacks.
