Opposing Fronts v.1.0.2 For vanilla Minecraft, Aug 23rd, 2013
Hello crafters,
Welcome to my first upload and pvp map; Opposing Fronts! a 6v6/8v8 Moba style game!
After playing maps like Nail, Hoodoo, and games such as League of Legends (or other MoBa) I felt the urge to make my owncompetitivepvp map.
The map endorses thegame-playof defenders and attackers through the use of a multiple class system with 7 different classes. Each of these classes provide complexgame-playand cooperative functions from pushing strategies to sneaky assassinations. Both sides will spawn in survival mode which allows for block breaking and super happy TnT fun time! The main objective of each team is to push into the enemy's base, break through the obsidian barrier in the enemy's spawn house, and place an Eye of Enderinto the enemy'sEnd Portal Frame.
Each player will chooseeitherthe Red team or the Gold team. Each team will spawn in a class selection room where they can plot, scheme and choose their classes; however, the enemy will know which class you havechosen.
Each team will have the option of picking:

Black Blade: An assassin with apowerful1 time use bow, limited TnT, Vines, and a deadly sword, all at the cost ofweak armor and limitedinvisibility.
Archer: A long range class with the ability to sit in place and set up map control.Usefulfor pushing enemies back or defending from invaders.
Knight: A tank class with slow mobility and nearinvincible. This class is hard to take down and wants to smash into the front lines of the enemy with golden apples and healing potions in hand.
Raider: Fire, fire, and more fire. Set enemies ablaze and leap into the back lines with jump boost 3. Raider's are big trouble makers as they can attack from both range and melee. They are lethal in both situations.
Engineer: Build defenses or destroy them. Engineer's can rip apart enemy defenses with TnT as well as build defensive structures or traps. The Engineer also comesequippedwith a devious little bomb that is not to be underestimated.
Alchemist: If mixing potions is your thing, then the alchemist is for you! Poison your enemies, buff yourteammates, make everyone (even your teammates) hate you. The Alchemist is an class with crowd control, endless damage, and the ability to make one hell of a strong drink.
Slave/Miner: A slave/miner will dig and dig. This class is essential to victory as they are the only class with the ability to break through the obsidian barrier at each team's spawn. Do not forgot about the innocent miner or shackled slave.
The land of Opposing Fronts islitteredwith traps, hidden items, andintensegame-play. This map is also packed with lore which hints at my next upload/big project. This product took me a long time to make as I had little knowledge ofred-stone, command block commands, and SMPcapabilities. There were many many many private testing matches and I feel this map could be refined even more, but I thought it was more important to keep it simple, refined, and balanced. I hope you have had as much fun playing the map as I have had making it!
