This is my current project I'm working on. I decided to build a castle to end ALL castles! This bad boy will have many rooms, EACH one serving a function, many of which I did research on medieval castles to figure out existed.

This castle serves as the capitol in my world save, as I've built over the past year 3 other castles, each one an experiment in design to figure out what looked good and to hone my castle building skills. When I'm completely finished with this, there will be 4 castles, each with a surrounding town, and quick transportation to each.

Peaceful mode, NO CHEATS. I mine all that shit myself.

I'm currently working on the towers and finishing the furnishings for my other rooms, then onto the rest of ceilings, rooves, and then finally done after that! I will be building a town around it, but I think I'll release the world save before then so people can get a feel for what i've been doing. Upvote if you like it!

This is an awesome looking castle and I am jealous of the design. I've only got a few little castles myself. (Though I plan on trying to get better at making walls and towers.)

Thanks so much! If you want a tip - just make something BIG and don't be afraid to alter it if something bugs you.

I would just make a structure, and move on to a new part, make a structure, and move and so on. I have four on my main world currently, which took about a year and a half, and even though they are flawed having so many under my belt is a very rewarding feeling. So just go with it! :D

very nice i can't believe you mined all that. I am working on a huge castle and it would have taken me a week to just to mine the material for the walls.

I don't use MC edit or anything like that. This is strictly a world save file I'm posting up later. If you want to convert and transfer it then, that's fine, but just let me know which server, and please do give me credit. Thanks.
