Paradiso - The long lost island of the Lunians, now recently discovered and commercialized is looking for visitors! Come see our rural community fishing village, or find your way to the ancient ruins. It was believed that these ancient Lunian people worshipped the four known elements and the aqueduct leads to the four shrines. As the throne room resides in the tallest of structures (believed to be the Temple of Air) it was believed they revered this building the most. However, the holiest of locations is the water temple, which is where they believed life came from and what sustained their being. Furthermore, the volcano gives way to the fire temple, and is the most feared, and sacrifices were often made. The aqueducts also split the 3 town districts, dividing the town among the wealthiest and the poorest. Recent underwater explorations have also discovered an even older and wiser population that built their city under the island and lived there for many generations before some mysterious force made them move to the surface.

The island was built entirely by hand (no world edit etc.) by me; had some help with structures, volcano and redstone. There are copious amounts of redstone, which typically hides the numerous secret rooms, treasures, and other short cuts throughout the island. I built it as an almost adventure map, in that you are able to walk throughout the build without needing to fly, and each area has a bit of a story to it. Alas, it is merely a build you can enjoy from the sky and enter the homes and passages as you see fit.

Current progression is towards finishing the pirate caves, and the Atlantis portions (the giant glowstone and glass cylinder in the pictures).

This build shows my a lot of my progression through Minecraft as when I started this project over a year ago I was just starting off learning new techniques. Progressing along my techniques got better and thus the build looked less blocky (looking at you boats, which I'm also in the progress of phasing out); I am most pleased with the "Aztec" portion of the build and the overall detail of the island. Other projects have actually taken up however, and Paradiso has been put on hold as other projects come about. Also some ideas were learned from the community, but then adapted to fit my needs, so thank you all! :)
