Minecraft 1.4.5 Compatible, No Mods Necessary!
This Is An OPEN BETA, Not A Finished Map! I REALLY Need Players to Test and Give Suggestions and Criticism!

This is a "complete the monument" adventure map, but with a twist:
There is a furnace under the monument. You must keep it lit as you assemble the monument.
Tricks, Traps, Treasure and More!
Best with around 2-4 players on Normal. resources become scarce at 5+ players, and its a pain in the ass with 1.
RULES:
You may grief, PVP, mine, whatever.
Play on at least Easy, never peaceful. if you want an extra challenge, set it to Night only.
You must keep the furnace (that is encased in bedrock, you'll know when you see it) lit at all times.
If it ever becomes un-lit, you lose the game.
To win, you must complete the victory monument above the furnace.
As a bonus, there are 5 sponges located in the map. I think. Try to find them.
The iron blocks that are built into an Iron Golem may not be used for tools or the monument.Any blocks used for beacons are not to be mined or used in any way.
It is not suggested to create your own nether portal.
You may find these rules along with a starting set of items inside the house at the center of the castle.
TIPS:
it pays off to explore. Thats how you complete the monument, aside from mining.
Never ever trust the signs outside the House. Ever.
Its more fun if you listen to the signs. Its also more painful.
Dont mine the castle. or the stone near it. Just trust me on this one.

Hope everyone is having a good holiday break :D
I will be gone for most of this break so no updates (D:)
I tried to finish the ice castle for the winter but it got a little out of hand... and big... so its not done yet (but starting to look epic)
I just need to finish parts of the exterior, the top floor, and then add details, loot, and spawners
This has been my largest creation to date, so I will be uploading a separate project on it soon with a schematic for both peaceful and the dungeon versions
I dont know how i can light up the castle though...
I think i might use nether portal blocks (they are just dim enough to not melt the ice)
WHILE IM AWAY:
I need someone to write up a little story to go along with my ice fortress
Preferably in a journal-entry style form (that way i can easily make books out of each entry) but it doesnt really matter
Must have: a prologue and epilogue
Length is up to you. I will divide the story into 18 parts.
Write a blog with the story and post a link as a comment
All entries will be read, and participants will have their planetminecraft username integrated into part of the castle (e.g. part of the walls, a design on the ceiling/floors, a nameplate, etc.)

I dont quite understand what you would schematic. Simply download the map, select whatever structures you want using MCEdit, and export. If you wish for the entire map to be a schematic, you would have an 18MB schematic (aka, the entire map)
btw this map is more Survival than Adventure
