I do classical studies at school (basically the study of ancient Greek and Roman society) and for our end of year exams we are asked to write something about Greek art or architecture. I choose to do the Parthenon and, well, this came in to being because I have been studying the Parthenon for about three days straight now.

This is a 90% accurate version of the Parthenon, done fully by hand and no world edit. It is probably the largest building I have ever built (all things considered, it's not big compared to other Minecraft builds on this website) and also, surprisingly, the fastest thing I have ever built. I am writing this on the day I started it and I have completed all the columns, the floor, stairs and wall layout. I also managed to film this, so I'll be turning this into a "let's build" on my YouTube channel.

So, flaws to this:
1. This was done in Minecraft 1.7.10 because older versions crash. Repeatedly. I have no clue why.
2. After I did the columns I realized I messed up and needed the stairs about one block further from the columns in all directions.
3. I didn't check if the North, South, East, West positions were correct.
4. No world edit. If I had world edit this would be done in a day. The whole Acropolis in a week.
