I gotta commend you for the excellent work you've got here. "Less detail" and a palatable color scheme can go a long way when it comes to showing style and substance and you really nailed the major bends in the structure of the ship. Did you use a modeling program by any chance?

And i don't know why the fact that the first one is more detailled or bigger is interresting, well more than that our ships are very different, mine only have 3 bridges and yours have 4, the general shapes are also very different and we can also see that we took two different way to build these ships...
