PENTHOUSE - MODERN PROJECT


This is my entry for the Penthouse,Sweet contest.

It's a residence with strong contemporary features .


Designed with the intent to make circulation between rooms the top priority, followed by an attempt to give each space in the house an airy,sleek feeling relative to the furnishings, textures, and atmosphere.

As you enter you can have a view of the foyer - this is split into 2 parts . The lower ceiling entrance area, and the double height ceiling for the staircase area. The interior window from the bathroom has a view over the staircase area, and the modern suspended light.

To the left you can find the combined kitchen and dining , with space for a full living room - and an exquisite fireplace. The kitchen and living room areas are different ceiling wise because the living room has a wood ceiling , with lights placed in optimal locations.

Throught the penthouse you can also find various colored accents - included in paintings , carpets, or other furniture.

The hallway on the 2nd floor can lead to the bathroom or the bedroom.

The bathroom features a toilet, a sink and a large bathtub and shower - pushed against a waterproof wooden wall which extends above the sink area.  

The bedroom has two main areas which are, the study area, and the main bedroom. The office area is located right  as you walk into the bedroom , but it can also be closed off with a glass wall.

The bedroom itself has a large king-sized bed , with a small seating area, and a door to a walk-in closet. The whole ceiling is wood to lower the apparent ceiling height and create a warm atmosphere.
