What is Ash Gray?
It's a romhack of Pokemon Fire Red based on the anime, following its events.
Why are you remaking it?
Because I wanted to do some kind of Pixelmon adventure map and at least 500 other people have already remade Kanto, Johto etc. There was only one other project I saw that was based on a Pokemon romhack.
When will it be done?
No idea, I'm hoping at the fastest: July 2021, and at the slowest December 2021
How will events from the anime work?
There will be signs with the name of the episode and a number telling you what order the events should be played at. There'll be a button attached to a command block that teleports you to a exact clone of the area you are on in (if an event is simple enough it won't have this)
Why are you doing it this way?
I'm not savvy when it comes to programming so this is the simplest way, and besides it's not possible to have things organized given the way Pixelmon mob spawners work. For example: in episode 1 Ash encounter a horde of Spearows and at the end sees Ho-Oh, in a much later episode on the same route he fights a Fearow. It would be a mess to have all that on 1 route at the same time.
How will release events work?
So there are parts of the anime where Ash releases his pokemon, how this will work is Pixelmon has Quest NPCs that you can program.
The map looks huge! what scaling are you using?
Inside buildings are 1:1 with the game, the outside is a guesstimation based on where things are relative to where other houses are. So some areas might be pretty decent sized and others will be huge.
