There is no download for this map, if you want to check it out first hand, you can log into our server, mc-praxis.com, there is no whitelist, tourists are welcome. You can type /map on the server to get a free in-game map to help you from getting lost.
This is Praxis City, a project I have been working on for the last year or so. It is approx 780 by 780 blocks in a circular city, comprised of various cultural styles. The world map is also made by me with World Paint just for my city, the world is based on the Discworld circular flat world were the oceans run off the side of the world into space. The size of the world from ocean to ocean is 1200 blocks. This is a working city, meaning that the Colosseum in the city has a working mob arena, almost all the current buildings in the city have interiors and are decorated. The southwest corner has 2 active Testificate villiages
All buildings on the map were built by me - except 2 city blocks on the north side that are mix matched style houses, those are built by the players at mc-praxis.com.
The grey squares in the city are building grids for future buildings. When the city is done I plan to have buildings, parks, roads from edge to edge within the circular wall.

update to sw downtown area, added new market/buisness area, relocated city park.

Well, its a real sad truth that you just took the server down a week ago without any announcements anywhere. I had been playing it every day for a week, 10+ hrs a day and then I wake up and its gone.
What kind of server lack of server is this?
If you can make a map like this, but without the town and just the island, that would make an awesome challenge/survival map.
Give me some suggestions on how big it should be and I could look at making something, shouldn't take long, I have become pretty comfortable with World Paint.
I think some snow and deciduous forest would be nice... I guess.. I don't know.
