This is our version of Project Utopia ( http://www.gizmag.com/project-utopia-floating-island-yacht/19898/ ) built in the area set aside for futuristic builds on our server. The server, which consists of a modern city (maybe 50 buildings, nuke power plant and airstrip, all quality), a jungle tree top village ( with an evil empire corp. science lab), and the "try out area" plot style free build area. We hope to go public soon as all the plug ins are right, please diamond and favorite for updates on the server, or PM me if you are ESTABLISHED PMC builder and are interested in helping.
I forget the actual dimensions but it stands around 70 blocks high, consists of a sun deck, shopping and office rental spaces, a living deck with approx 30 luxury apartments, a dining and show hall. Crafted primarily out of snow and iron it is an awsome sight to see. We did get burnt out on it so the interior has yet to be finished.
The idea was presented as a challange by the server owner (PMC user Rubytap, who should be posting a few more pics and projects of the city). A few liberties were taken with the design but I think we nailed it.
More work has been done since these pics, DL will follow in future updates when the server goes live. thanks for looking and feel free to leave comments.

Can I apply to be an administrator or Moderator?
Moderators/Administrators are handpicked and selected by our top staff. We work on having an application system in the future. If you ask for administrator or another rank, we will kindly tell you the steps you need to take or direct you elsewhere. However, you may not spam the public minecraft chat asking for it. If we feel you're breaking Rule 3, you risk the chance of being temporarily kicked.
Where is more information located?
Once you log on the server, you are greeted at the spawn by A wall of Signs (Note some signs may be temporarily left blank). Read all the signs/rules/regulations, then proceed out the door into the Plotlands. You can find out how to claim and use the plot system in the rule room where you start out

What is Sandstorm Gaming?
Sandstorm Gaming is a Gaming Community based on the sole purpose of playing games on platforms such as steam. The idea behind it was to create a community where everyone could have fun in a non-hostile, peaceful environment where everyone is welcome no matter who they were.
How far along is Sandstorm Gaming?
The Community itself is currently very small. Launching our Minecraft server was our first thing to do to attract a decent number of active and outgoing people. Once our Minecraft server was released, we planned on building our playerbase through the server so we could release and create other servers for other games such as
Team Fortress 2, Counterstrike:Source, and Terraria.
Is Sandstorm Gaming a Company?
Sandstorm Gaming is currently and strictly a Gaming Community. While were pushing towards being an *official* gaming organization, We will most likely never branch out so far that we are considered a company of any sort.
Is there a website I can visit?
Our current main focus is to have a smooth, successful server launch. We have a website that is currently being worked on. However, for the time being, we don't have a functional *website*
How about a forum?
Yes! We do have a forum. We knew we needed a forum, so we built a functional, quick one until the time comes to where we have our website.
