Don't like to be "ripped off" by villagers and their expensive prices?
Want to save your emeralds but you want to have villagers helping you too?
Do you always think "Oh, I want a villager to be my slave"?
You don't feel like installing mods and want to keep your "Vanilla" experience?
THEN my project is perfect for you !
I present you my first redstone / command blocks creation, "Project Villager" !
In this project, I want to make villagers more "survival friendly" by giving players the possibility to make them work for you! Adding professions to villagers is a nice and unique feature in Command Block Modding, and it is really usefull on a survival world.
How to make it work?
I included a tutorial in map, so it will be easy to learn how to make a farmer !
Also, I will post a romanian tutorial link ! Be sure to check it out!
My first job for villagers is ... a farmer! I know that villager farmers already exist, but my concept is designed to add much more features than Minecraft already does.
Advantages:
♥ When the farm is created ( free fences ), the villager farmers will auto-teleport to it and start his job!
♥ It is a full auto farm, let the farmer make his job in your spawn chunks and get tons of vegetables.
♥ The farmer plants by default wheat seeds, but you can customize your farm how do you like to. The farmer is smart enough to remember where you planted wheat, carrots, potatoes and beetroot and will keep the pattern you created. He will also kill beetroot and wheat seeds to keep it balanced and not to OP!
♥ Are you worried about your vegetables farmed by the farmer will despawn or make lag? Don't worry! With an Armor Stand put inside a Hopper, a "silo" will be created! Now, the items produced in your farm will be teleported to the nearest silo. It is recomended to connect the hopper with a double chest.
♥ Nice particles and visual effects.
♥To remove it, simply take the water from the middle of the farm and break the glowstone underneath it. That will kill your farmer and the silo too, but will keep the farm with your crops ;) .
Disadvantages
⊗ First major disadvantage is that you CAN NOT have more than 1 farm per world. Possibly in the future updates, I will be able to fix it !
⊗ Try to place the Armor Stand in the Hopper ( Silo ) facing one of 4 sides of hopper and not diagonally, because sometimes the items teleported there will just fall off.
Next, the miner will be added! Also, I may improve the farmer's "powers" by making it able to farm pumpkins and melons too.
